The Methodist Multimedia
Ministry – Accra Diocese is a group within the Accra Diocese of The Methodist
Church Ghana mandated to project activities of the Church through the
utilisation of multimedia communication products and services. Since its
establishment in May 2018, the Ministry has helped in advancing the activities
of the Diocese, especially in the area of virtual Church Services during the
period of the Covid-19 restrictions in Ghana.
In recognition of its
outstanding services, the 60th Synod of the Accra Diocese, held at
the Rev Joseph Thomas Clegg Memorial Methodist Chapel, Kaneshie on May 06,
2021, honoured the various Multimedia Teams in all the 24 Circuits within the
Diocese.
Presenting a citation in
honour of the Ministry, the Methodist Bishop of the Accra Diocese, The Rt Rev
Samuel Kofi Osabutey, noted that the activities of the Ministry had “imparted
positively on our Worship in this era of Covid-19”. The citation was received
on behalf of the Ministry by the Accra Diocesan Coordinator for Communication
and Publications, The Rev Isaac Oduro-Boateng.
In a related development,
representatives of the various Circuit Multimedia Ministries have been
presented with replica citations in recognition of their activities within
their respective Circuits. The presentation was done during the Synod Sunday Thanksgiving
Service held at the Rev Joseph Thomas Clegg Memorial Methodist Chapel, Kaneshie
on May 09, 2021 to climax the 60th Annual Synod of the Diocese.
